Jean Brownrigg

Jean (Jeannie) Brownrigg, 77, of Frederick, MD, peacefully went to see our Lord surrounded by her loving family on November 24, 2018 due to complications of Alzheimer’s. Born in Ellisville, Mississippi, on June 19, 1941, she was preceded in death by father Claude Knight and mother Eunice Knight.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Stuart Neil Brownrigg; daughters Sylynn Stephenson, Rochelle Ivill and husband Don Ivill; granddaughters Brooke Edwards and Savanna Ivill, stepson Shane Brownrigg, brothers Lane Knight and wife Laverne, Sammy Knight and wife Angie; sisters Claudette Wyrick and Joyce Knight; many nieces and nephews, her wonderful friend and caregiver Eve Bryant, and her precious and loyal West Highland White Terrier, Ariel.

Prior to moving to the Middle East, Jeannie attended Montgomery College and worked for Bechtel Power. After returning to Maryland, she directed her energy towards ownership and operation of an image consulting business, becoming a licensed esthetician, advocating for battered women, and spending time with friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland. Interment will be for family members only at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, Maryland.
