Mr. William Theodore “Bill” Blentlinger, Jr., age 82, of Frederick Maryland died, Sunday October 14, 2018. Born June 4, 1936 in New Market, Maryland, he was the son of the late William Theodore and Lillian Catherine (nee Wiles) Blentlinger, Sr. He was the beloved husband to his wife Joyce A. Blentlinger.
Bill was a talented and dedicated mechanic for over 50 years. He worked at Gladhill Tractor for over 20 years before starting his own business. He would own and operate Bill’s Tractor Service for over 30 years before retiring. Bill spent much of his time working on tractors and found enjoyment out of it.
Some of Bill’s hobbies included shooting and bowling. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and cared deeply for those in his life. He was also an active member of the Black Rock Bible Church in Hagerstown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his children William T. Blentlinger, III (Veronica) and Sonya J. Boyer, his step children; Guy Nesbitt (Charmane), Dale Nesbitt (Lisa), and Carrie Blackburn, his brother-in-law Michael McElhiney (Shelly), 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents, son Jerry Blentlinger, step son Craig Nesbitt, and his former wife Betty Blentlinger.
The family will receive friends and family from 4-7pm, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Intombment will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Garden Cemetery.
