Douglas C. Sanbower

Mr. Douglas Cletus "Doug" Sanbower, 70, of Rocky Ridge, died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his residence. He was the significant other of the late Audrey Smith.

Born June 19, 1947 in Adamstown, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene Ausherman Sanbower.

Doug is survived by Robert Eugene "Mo" Mohler Sr. (Maria Fogle), Marion Smith (Maryann Allen);  siblings, Robert Sanbower (Sue Ann), Cecelia Wills and Edward Sanbower (Katherine), special nephew, Jeffrey Sanbower (Diane), extended family, Bobbie Jo Benjamin (Bill) and Robert Eugene Mohler Jr. (Amanda), grandchildren, Devon, Kelby, Lane, Michael, Skylar and Zoey and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and Audrey, Doug was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Sanbower, Doris Wiles and Harold Sanbower.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Frederick County and Maria Fogle. He will be deeply missed by Jeff, Diane and Devon.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
