Margaret Catherine Cline

January 5, 1921 — May 1, 2018

Miss. Margaret Catherine Cline, age 97 of Jefferson, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born on January 5, 1921 near Jefferson she was the daughter of the late William H. and Stella May (Heffner) Cline.

Miss. Cline worked as a bookkeeper for 32 and a half years for Sagners, up until the time they closed. She continued working as a house keeper for Mr. Dan Poole. She was a longtime member of Calvery Assembly of God in Walkersville. When she wasn't working she volunteered extensively for her church. In her free time she enjoyed Food & Friends, 20/20 in Jefferson, and listening to music, crossword puzzles, playing the piano, reading books, keeping up with soap operas and game shows.

Miss. Cline is survived by a cousin Edna Huffer of Middletown, 2 nephews David E. Cline and late wife Joyce A. and Jerry M. Cline & wife Judi of Libertytown, 4 great nieces and nephews, and 3 great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Earl W. Cline and wife Mary E. and her two sisters Betty F. Cline and Linda L. Cline.

Friends will be received on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4-6 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 1 PM. Pastor Brook Hicks of Calvary Assembly of God will officiate. The interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown. Contributions may be made in Miss. Cline's name to the Calvary Assembly of God, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD 21793.
