Roland Walter Hooper

Roland Walter Hooper of Frederick passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Citizens Nursing Home.  He was the son of the late D. Walter and Lucy E. Hooper.  He would have been 97 years old this summer.  He was a dairy farmer and was happiest being on the farm where he was born and lived his entire life.

Roland is survived by his daughter, Anne Heavner; his son, Donald Hooper; his grandchildren, Jill Benton, Courtney Kentrus & Chad Hooper; and great-grandchildren, Addison Benton, Noah Benton, Caleb Kentrus and Ashby Hooper.  He also leaves behind his devoted caregivers, Rayna Farmer and Laura Kline.

Funeral Services and interment will be held at the gravesite at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick at 2 PM on Friday, April 27, 2018.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Roland's name to the charity of your choice.
