Dana Lynn Delauter
July 31, 1974 — February 6, 2018
Ms. Dana Lynn DeLauter, 43, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She will be sadly missed by Chad D. Marshall, her significant other. Born in Frederick on July 31,1974, she was the daughter of Harold C. and Lynn Markle DeLauter, of Frederick.
Dana's passion for dance was a large part of her life; she was an instructor and an excellent choreographer, having studied and worked at Bettie Jane's Center of Dance. She was an enthusiast for good health and fitness. She enjoyed painting and making jewelry. Dana had a great love for her family; she enjoyed nature and loved her dogs, Oakley and Kilo.
She was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren.
In addition she is survived by her sons, Justin A. Shelton and Lauren, of Grand Rapids, MI, Brody A. Shelton and Landon A. Shelton, both of Frederick, three brothers, David C. DeLauter and Jessica, of Hedgesville, WV, Donnie L. DeLauter and Amanda, of Rutherfordton, NC and Daniel A. DeLauter and Heather, of Jefferson, her grandmother, Letha N. DeLauter, of Frederick, nieces and nephews, Rebecca DeLauter and Joseph, Zachary and Luke DeLauter, Maximilian, Nicholas, Benedict, Carmel and Joseph DeLauter, Xavier, Zander and Atticus DeLauter, aunts and uncles, Kathy Keller Platt, of San Diego, CA and Chuck and Sandy Keller, of Pensacola, FL. She will be missed by Keith and Dinah Marshall and the entire Marshall family. She will also be missed by the Shelton family. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leonard and Evelyn Markle and paternal grandparents, Charles and Mercedes Keller.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m., on Monday, February 12, 2018, at the Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Ave., Frederick, MD 21701. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the church. Rev. James Benedict, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Myersville. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
