Evelyn D. Hewitt

Mrs. Evelyn D. (DeGrange) Hewitt, 78, of Frederick, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Russell "Buck" Hewitt Sr., who preceded her in death in 2013.

Born March 23, 1939, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Olive (Wiles) DeGrange.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Candy Gray, Christina Corum and husband Ricky, Carol Leigh and husband Ronnie, Lisa Parks and husband Kenny, Bucky Hewitt Jr. and Frank Hewitt Sr. and wife Joanie, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister, Lillian Anderson, brother, James DeGrange and wife Margaret, sister-in-laws, Becky DeGrange and Patricia Wolfe, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Parks.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Lts. Chris and Carla Raymer will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Lewistown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 223 W. 5th Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
