Nancy Jean Geisbert

Nancy Jean (Crum) Geisbert, 75, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away to be with her Lord on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of Charles Geisbert Jr. for 52 years.

Born on October 5, 1942, she was the daughter of late Elwood Wilson and Evelyn Irene (Null) Crum. Nancy was a graduate of Frederick High School, class of 1960. After high school, she worked as a secretary for the Atomic Energy Commission for over 10 years and then took time off to raise her daughter. She then worked for Frederick County Public Schools in the Finance Department, and retired from there after 25 years.  Nancy was a lifetime member of Calvary United Methodist Church and was a member of the Friendly Circle Sunday School class. She loved to cook and work in her garden with her husband Tommy. She had many hobbies and loved to dance. Nancy always had a wonderful smile and personality.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Diann Michelle Geisbert and longtime partner, Anthony Zak. They reside in Corvallis, Oregon, where Diann is a public school teacher. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Her family and friends were very special in her life.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St, Frederick, Maryland. Friends will also be received from 10-11am on Wednesday, November 29th and a celebration of her life will begin at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
