English Bryant

Mr. English Bryant, 54, of Middletown, MD and formerly of Detriot, MI, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, at his home. He was the husband of Varnia Casimir Bryant. Born on February 4, 1963 in Detroit, he was a son of the late Hodge Lee and Arvana Leatherwood Bryant.
English proudly served his country in the United States Army for 15 years and served in Germany and South Korea. In Germany he joined the Masonic Military Lodge # 143, P. H. A. of F & AM. He worked in Information Technology for the Department of Defense. English was a member of the Francis Scott Key American Legion Post # 11 and enjoyed photography, cycling, archery and playing golf.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Cecilia Knox and husband Mark, of Cincinnati, OH, and Aisha Bryant, of Middletown, grandson, Marquez H. Knox and siblings, Hodge L. Bryant and wife Gail, Isaac Bryant and wife Antoinette, Shawn Bryant and wife Michelle, Constance Johnson, Jacqueline Bryant and Spring Bolling and husband Garey, all of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Bryant.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the funeral home.
His son-in-law, Minister Mark W. Knox, will officiate. Interment will be private.
