John Lay Converse, Jr.

May 25, 1947 — August 9, 2017

Mr. John L. Converse, Jr., son of John and Ruth Converse of Frederick, Maryland, died at the age of 70 on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 after a long illness at the Veterans Medical Center, Martinsburg, West Virginia. He served in the United States Marine Corps, and was in Vietnam for one year.

He is survived by his brother, Allen Bryant Converse of Baltimore, Maryland and his cousins, the Maguire family, the Autis and the Goelets of Maine and New Hampshire. He will be missed by family, cousins and friends along with the medical staff at the hospital.

Arrangements entrusted to the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home. A memorial graveside will be given in Manassas, Virginia.
