Carlo Joseph Petrucci

Mr. Carlo Joseph Petrucci, age 90 of Frederick, formerly of Spring Hill, FL, and Laurel, MD, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017. He was the husband of the late Barbara Petrucci. He is also survived by Angie Miller, the mother of his nine children. Born on April 6, 1927 in Farmington, WV., he was the son of the late Remigio and Antoinette Petrucci who emigrated from Italy in the late 1800’s. Mr. Petrucci graduated from Farmington High School in Farmington, WV. Following graduation, he served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was an entrepreneur beginning with a potato chip manufacturing and distribution business in West Virginia. His most notable businesses were established after moving to Mt. Rainier and Laurel, MD, where he launched Pal Jack’s Pizza, Pat’s Pizza and Petrucci's Dinner Theater. In addition to spending time with family, he enjoyed dancing and playing shuffle board and bocce ball.Mr. Petrucci leaves behind nine children and their spouses: David Petrucci and wife, Paulette of Frederick; Maria Petrucci and husband, Jay Seaborg, of Mt. Airy, MD; Paul Petrucci and wife, Astrid of Seattle, WA; Giana Jowers and husband, Rik, of West River, MD; Angela Jo Leonard and husband, Chris, of St. Augustine, FL; Danny Petrucci of New Market, VA; Diana Lawless and husband, Ben of Owings, MD; Lisa Redmiles and husband, David of Dunlow, WV; and Gloria Petrucci of Beltsville, MD. Mr. Petrucci is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 6-9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick and on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10-11 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd St., Frederick with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 AM.
