Mr. Guy Bernard Walter, Jr., 71, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Bonnie Shoemaker Walter. Born in Olney on June 22, 1945, he was a son of the late Guy B., Sr., and Vivian Moberly Walter.
Guy had worked for many years as an equipment operator for Poole and Sons of Middletown. He was a faithful member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one brother, Lawrence R. Walter, of Jackson Beach, FL, one sister, Elizabeth M .Shoemaker, of VA and his nephew, Walter Merilic. He was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma B. Walter.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 5, 2017, in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Heacock, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Deacon Fund of the Frederick Church of Brethren, 201 Fairview Ave., Frederick, MD 21701.
