Ms Ivadora Kelley, 102, died on April 10, 2017 in Frederick. She was born in Brunswick, on December 25, 1914, the daughter of the late Laura Virginia Phillips Kelley and William Winfield Kelley. She was a graduate of Brunswick High School, class of 1933. She was a long time active member of the First Baptist Church of Frederick. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 079..Ivadora worked at the Lace Store in Brunswick for 21 years prior to moving to Frederick. In Frederick she worked for Insley's Shoe Store and retired from Eyerly’s (now Bon-Ton Department Store). She was the last survivor of the Kelley siblings, and was Aunt to nieces and nephews; Sylvia Tyeryar, her caregiver and family of Frederick, The Rev. Dr. A. Gary Angleberger, his wife and family of Beaver, PA; Doris Kelley Barker, and husband, Wayne and family of Myrtle Beach, SC; Donna Kay Rowland and husband, Jim and family of McAllen, TX; Harry D. Baird and wife, Kathy and family of Colonial Heights, VA.
Ivadora was preceded in death by 10 siblings: Charles W. Kelley, Frank Kelley, Howard E. Kelley, Ruth A. Kelley, Levetta I. Thomas, James M. Kelley, Leroy O. Kelley, Idalene K. Angleberger, Nellie O. Albaugh, and Laura E. Baird.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, 7040 Bowers Road, Frederick, MD 21702. The Rev. Dr. Larry Eubanks, her pastor and Rev. Dr. A. Gary Angleberger, nephew, will officiate. An informal lunch and reception will follow the service in the church. Interment will be in the Reformed Cemetery, Knoxville.
She requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Frederick. (above address) Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
