Patricia Joyce Buckler

Patricia Joyce (Panella) Buckler, 73, of Myersville, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Born on August 15, 1943 in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Nicholas C. and Mary Anne (Prohaska) Panella.  Patricia was a long time member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, raising her six children and helping with her grandchildren. Patricia loved the beach ( especially Ocean City) , reading, gardening, cooking for her family, and spending time with friends and family. Patricia is survived by her six children, Kim Phelps and husband Rick, David Buckler and wife Heidi, Patrick Buckler and wife Angela, Chris Buckler and significant other Sandra Norton, Amy Buckler and significant other David Mingee, and Megan Lopez and husband Rudy; former husband and loving father of her children, Robert M. Buckler, Jr.; brother Thomas Panella; grandchildren, John Phelps, Madison Murphy, Nicole Phelps, Nicholas Buckler, Ryan Buckler, Peter Buckler, Elise Buckler, Spencer Buckler, Aiken Buckler, Peyton Taylor, Haley Lechliter, Sonny Mingee, Rodolfo Lopez; numerous nieces and nephews;  many close and cherished friends; and her feline companion Buddha “Boo”.

In addition to her parents Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers Nicholas C. Panella and Bernard J. Panella. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00AM at St.  John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick, M d . Following the mass, the family will host a reception and celebration of life in the adjacent reception hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Frederick County Humane Society.
