James Ray Keefer

Mr. James "Jim" Ray Keefer, age 57 passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017. Born on January 11, 1960 he was the son of Barbara (Hemp) Keefer and the late Kenneth L. Keefer. Mr. Keefer served in the Army Reserves. He was a volunteer firefighter at United Fire Company, worked for Frederick Cablevision and Thomas English Muffins beofre his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Amvets Post 2 and Chippewa Tribe 19. In addition to his mother, Mr. Keefer is also survived by his significant other Lori Alshire, his daughters Tabitha (Keefer) Hargett and husband Rick, II, and Sammi Alshire his grandchildren Chyanne Hargett and Ty Hargett, his sibilings Thomas Keefer, Kennie (Keefer) Inman, Lisa Priber, and Bobby Keefer and a number of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 11 AM until 2 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to the family.
