Virginia Eleanor Easterday, age 90 of Feagaville, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Montivue Assisted Living, Frederick. Born on August 12, 1926 in Feagaville, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Eleanor Shafer Easterday. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Newman who passed away in 2001.
Virginia was a member of the St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Feagaville. She was a 1943 graduate of Frederick High School and the Willard School for Secretaries. She had worked a number of years at the William A. Bowers Lumber Company in Frederick. She was also a member of the Feagaville Food and Friends. Most of all, she loved her family, her home and her flowers.
Virginia is survived by her niece, Trude N. Young and husband Donald of Richmond, VA; great niece Amy L. Savinac and her late husband Kevin S. who passed away in 2015, and her children Hannah and Harrison of Marshall, VA; great nephews Christopher B. Norris and wife Tiffani and M. Eric Norris and wife Kathryn both of Richmond, VA. Also surviving are several cousins, including Pat Smith and Donald Easterday and family. She is also preceded in death by her nephew C. Da
vid Newman in 2012. Virginia was most grateful for those who helped her along life's path.
