Mr. Ferree grew up in Cincinnati OH and attended school until 11th grade before moving to Frederick when his father opened the Arlan's Department Store.  While he attended Frederick High School, Brent worked part-time at Frederick Memorial Hospital in the dish washing room where he met his would-be wife, Linda Staton.  He graduated from Frederick High School in 1966.  After graduation, he entered the United States Marine Corp and he served proudly for four years.  Brent and Linda married on July 13, 1968 while he was still serving his country.  In 1970 he welcomed his first son Brent, Jr. and in 1972 he welcomed his second son Brian Lee.  After being discharged from the Marines he worked various jobs.  In the 1990's he was the owner and operator of Brent's Livery Service.  He met many interesting people taking them to and from various airports over the years.  During this period, Brent rescued his first greyhound Clairona which he enjoyed walking and caring for.  After retiring from the livery service, he went to work for Wal-Mart in the lawn and garden department at the Monocacy Blvd. location.  He enjoyed that very much and made many friends.  It was during this period he rescued his second greyhound Eleanor Rigby.   Brent retired from Wal-Mart after 10 years for medical reasons.  No matter where Brent would go he saw a Wal-Mart customer and would talk to them.  Most of all, Brent had a love for his family and his country.  His hobbies were watching Ohio State Football, car shows, putting together model cars and playing solitaire.  Brent was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, a life member of the Shangri-La  Detachment 118 Marine Corp League and member of the American Legion FSK Post 11, Frederick.
