Gene Arthur Goodsell

Mr. Gene Arthur Goodsell, 76, of Frederick, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Betty
Lou Duvall Goodsell, who died on January 28, 2017. He was born in Frederick, on September 14, 1940.
Mr. Goodsell proudly served his country in the United States Army, from 1962 to 1968, and spent time in Vietnam during the war. He worked most of his life as a painter and was retired from Pride Painting. He was a member of the Francis Scott Key American Legion, Post 11, the Amvets Post 2, the Eagles, Redmen Club, and the Patriotic Club. He enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.
Surviving are his children, Donald E. Duvall, Jr., and Tracie Lynn Duvall, of Frederick, four brothers and three sisters, grandson, Brandon R. Duvall and wife Deana and great granddaughter, Charlotte Marie Duvall and many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by a special friend, Cindy Fogle Hines. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., on Monday, February 27, 2017, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
