Treva Marie Waltz

Treva Marie (Greenholtz) Waltz, 96, of Frederick, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at her daughter’s home. She was the wife of the late Arlie Benjamin Waltz, whom predeceased her in 2005.

Born on April 1 ^{st, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Ethel and Harry Greenholtz. She was a longtime member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Treva worked as a cashier at Pantry’s Pride Grocery Store in Frederick until she retired. In her spare time, she loved to do sewing and enjoyed cooking.}

She is survived by her daughter, Treva Arlene Waltz of Purcellville, VA; one sister, Stella Neuner of South Port, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three siblings, Harry Greenholtz Jr., Margie Warehime and Ruth Lease.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The funeral service will begin at 11am at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Hoffman of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Kriders Church Cemetery, Westminster.
