Salvatore Q. Orlando

Mr. Salvatore Q. Orlando, age 92 of Frederick, passed away on January 1, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Carol Orlando. Born on October 3, 1924 in Elmhurst, New York he was the son of the late John & Susan Orlando.Mr. Orlando served in Europe during WWII. He worked for an architectural firm in New York City. Mr. Orlando is survived by his children, Dr. Carol M. Orlando and husband Dr. Thomas E. Horton and Dr. Thomas C. Orlando and wife Jennifer M. Orlando and his grandchildren Thomas S. Horton, Nicole Orlando, Olivia Orlando, and Sienna Orlando.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 6 to 9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd St., Frederick, MD 21701. Father Chuck Wible will officiate. The interment will be on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1 PM in the Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Orlando's name to The Alzheimer's Association National Capital Area, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102.
