Betty Jean Craver

Mrs. Betty Jean Craver, age 87 of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Calvin Elwood "Buck" Craver who passed away on November 10, 2016. Born on February 12, 1929 in Frederick County, she was the daughter of Martin E. and Nellie (Hilderbrand) Rothenhoefer.Mrs. Craver was a graduate of Frederick High School in the class of 1946. She worked at People's Drug Store on Patrick Street as well as C&P Telephone Company.Mrs. Craver is survived by her children Twain Craver and wife Libby and Marsha Craver; grandchildren Alan Shoemaker and Chad Craver; step granddaughter Mary-Jean Stottlemyer and step great-granddaughter Lillian Stottlemyer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10 AM. Rev. Harry C. Cole will officiate. The interment will follow in the Utica Cemetery, Thurmont.
