Margaret Lorrel Tobery

Margaret Lorrel (Hill) Tobery, 93, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on August 21, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Frederick. She was the wife of the late Charles Irving Andrew Tobery.

Born on June 25 th , 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annet Hill. Margaret worked in Environmental services at the Frederick County Courthouse and Pythion Castle Building for 10 years before going to work for the Frederick County Public Schools from 1966-1993. Margaret loved children and volunteered her time at Parkway Elementary School working with special studies students. Margaret loved her very special dog Snoopy.

Margaret was survived by her step-daughter, Margaret Eichelberger; five grandchildren, Diane Brust Bowles and husband Fred, Barbara Pierce and husband Rick, Robert Eichelberger and companion Kim Lawson, Sheridy Schroyer and husband Randy, and Edie Whittington; many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Hill, Charles Hill and Mary Moran.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 11am. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 108 Byte Drive, Suite 103, Frederick, MD 21703.
