Anne E. "Betty" Luhn

Anne E. "Betty" Luhn age 89 of Frederick passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.  She was the loving wife for 68 years of Charles B. Luhn who she married on September 4, 1948.  Born on November 3, 1926 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Victor A. and Annie E. (Hartman) Kroh.Mrs. Luhn was a graduate of Frederick High School in the class of 1943.  She continued her studies at Towson State Teachers College now known as Towson University.  She was a homemaker and later worked outside the home as a book keeper.  She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Frederick as well as the Williamsburg  Foundation, Williamsburg , VA.  In her free time she liked to cook and garden and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan.Mrs. Luhn was the devoted mother of Anne E. Keyser and husband Frank "Buddy" of Boonsboro, Michael B. Luhn of Frederick and David Luhn and wife Wanda of Thurmont, and the grandmother of Scott D. Luhn and Bradley M. Luhn.  She is also survived by her brother in law James R. Luhn of New Market.  She is preceded in death by her brother Victor A. Kroh.The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 3 to 5 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where a funeral service will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11 AM.  The interment will follow at Mt.
