He also enjoyed hunting with his friends during his avid hunting years, and during this time he was a member of the Foggy Mountain Hunting Club, where each year during Thanksgiving came a hunting trip that he looked forward to with his longtime friend, Leon Cannon, of Keedysville, Maryland.

In addition to his wife, Roy is survived by his children, Roy Lee Sier, Jr. and wife Rose, and Rita Frickman Badgett (Sier) and husband Guy; grandchildren, Michael Allen Frickman and fiancé Amanda Marie Cacchione, Amanda Nikole Frickman, Ryan Wesley Badgett, Brandon Carle Badgett, Branden LeRoy Sier and Bradley Alan Sier; his brother, Roland Lee Sier and half-sister, Betty Morgan; brother-in-laws Grayson Rippeon and wife Lynne, Terry Rippeon and wife Kathy, Michael Rippeon and wife Sheila; sister-in-laws Kathy Baugher and husband Marty, Brenda Landis and husband John, and Cindy Rippeon-Kehne and husband Kevin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Ronnie Lee Sier and Rebecca (Becky) Lee House.

Roy will be cremated in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A memorial service will be held in Frederick, Maryland, where his family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E.
