Concetta Furlong

Mrs. Concetta Theresa "Connie" Furlong, 84, of Mt. Airy, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at her residence. She was the wife of Oliver S. Furlong.

Born July 24, 1931, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late D. Thomas and Clara (Ionotta) Iorio.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Theresa Wood and husband John, Connie Hoffman and husband Matthew and Catherine McNees and husband Randy, grandchildren, Diana Macomber and husband Chris, Melinda Hoffman, Jonathan Hoffman, Heather Wallace and Michael Wallace, great-grandchildren, Jake Macomber, Kylie Wallace, Ryan Wallace and William Wallace, brother, Carmine Iorio and wife Carol, numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3pm and 6 to 8pm, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM, on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the St. Anthanasius Catholic Church, 9201 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
