Mr. Monroe Paul Angleberger

Mr. Monroe Paul Angleberger, 90, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his entire family. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Lillian (Cook) Angleberger, his wife of 68 years.

Born November 27, 1925, in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Paul and Grace (Haugh), Angleberger.

Monroe is survived by three sons, Steve R. Angleberger, and wife Elaine, of Frederick; Ronald E. Angleberger, of Frederick; Jeffery P. Angleberger, and wife, Liliana, and children, Mallory and Sasha, of Middletown; granddaughter, Jennifer Osborne, and husband, Darin, of Frederick; great-grandson Devin Angleberger, of Sabillisville; and brother, Wayne William Angleberger, of Baltimore.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by one sister, Nellie Burrier.

Monroe was a devoted father and worked at various jobs throughout his life, including 29 years employed, and later, managing, Central Tractor Farm and Family Center in Frederick. He will be remembered for his selfless heart, unwavering love for his family, sense of humor, and enthusiasm for travel. Some of his favorite vacation destinations were Honolulu, Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, and his yearly autumn excursion to Shenandoah National Park. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and gardener. Monroe, (Bud), was loved by all and will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The funeral will be held at 11am on Friday, March 18 th at the funeral home. Interment will be next to his beloved wife, Elizabeth, in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
