Richard Lee Sayler

Mr. Richard Lee Sayler, 73, of Frederick, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at HeartFields Assisted Living. He was the husband of the late Kaaren (Shull) Sayler, who preceded him in death in 2011.

Born February 26, 1942, in Walkersville, he was the son of the late Paul and Catherine (Martin) Sayler.

His favorite thing was going to White's Ferry on Friday nights.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Dianne Sanders and husband Richard, grandchildren, Jeremy Benfield and Jason Benfield, great-grandchildren, Connor Benfield, Ciara Hess and Carter Benfield, sisters, Doris Stitley and husband Harry and Betty Bitner and husband Bob, brothers-in-law, Richard Coates and John Shull III and wife Janice, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Martin Sayler, Bud Sayler and Gladis Coates.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
