Betty Marie Stull

Betty Marie Stull, 79, of Frederick, MD, passed away on January 14, 2016 at Country Meadows Assisted Living in Frederick with her loving family by her side.

Betty was born on March 7, 1936 in Frederick MD to the late Austin A. and Sarah V. Oden. She graduated from Frederick High in 1954. She loved working with people and retired from the USPS in 2002.

Betty married James A. Stull on July 10, 1955 and they spent most of their married life living on the family farm in Dickerson, MD before retiring to Worman’s Mill in Frederick. Together they raised two children, Terry and James (Jay). Betty enjoyed nature and all things living. She was often found helping her father-in-law on the farm and took great pride in the fact that she could drive almost anything with a motor. Betty was an avid gardener. She loved to dance and was a devoted grandmother. Betty was best known for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.

Betty was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Frederick, MD. Betty was a Spiritual woman who lived her life to the fullest.

Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years and her daughter Terry L. Warfield and husband Dwight of Frederick, MD and her son James (Jay) A Stull, Jr and wife Shelly of EastSide Farm in Frederick, MD and granddaughters, Kelly Warfield and her husband Jeremy, Kimberly Warfield, Barbara Jane Stull and Kayla Justus and husband Russell. Betty is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Christian Martinez, Noah, Seth, Kira, Luke and Eli Perkins, Sienna Stull and Austin Justus. She is also survived by one brother Dennis Oden of Fairfield, PA. She is predeceased by her brother Austin and two sisters, Lilly Esworthy and Mary Barr.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7pm, on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be at 11:00AM, on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
