Mark Edward Burall
November 1, 1953 — December 24, 2015
Mark was raised in New Market and graduated from Linganore High School in 1971. After high school, Mark continued to work on the family dairy farm in New Market. He later moved into employment for over 30 years with Frederick Insulation, later known as Universal Insulation/Masco. He loved sports and enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, bowling, golf, and board games. He was an avid New York Yankee and University of Maryland basketball fan, attending many Maryland Women's basketball games. Mark was a long time member of the New Market Grange.
Mr. Burall is survived by his son, Mark E. Burall, Jr. of Mt. Airy, his sisters Vicki E. Boyd and Gary of Rohrersville, Linda S. Phelps of Brunswick, and Lisa A. Burall of Martinsburg , WV, and numerous aunts, uncle, nephews, and cousins.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Additional visitation time is scheduled for Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821 Green Valley Rd, Monrovia, MD 21770 where services will begin at 11 am. Pastors Fred Bernhard, and Leo and Melissa Barnes will officiate. The interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, adjacent to the the church. Contributions may be made in Mr. Burall's name to the New Market Grange, PO Box 83, New Market, MD 21774 or to the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren at the above address.
