Patricia Speak Huntzberry

Mrs. Patricia Ann "Pat" Speak Huntzberry, of Frederick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at her home. She was the loving wife of Ronald W. "Ron" Huntzberry. They were married January 22nd 1966 and would be celebrating 50 years of marriage in 2016. Born in Frederick on September 21, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Clarence F., Sr. and Lillian Trail Speak.

Although Pat worked many jobs including American Optical Company, Blue Ridge News Agency and operating Pat's Cleaning Service, she is best remembered for having fun, no matter where she went. A member of the Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Frederick Chapter, she was also a volunteer for the Frederick Memorial Auxiliary.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Terry L. Wenner and husband Ronnie of Brunswick, and Rhonda L. Ritter and husband Stephen of Middletown, brothers, Delmar L. Speak and wife Barba of Frederick, and Robert L. Speak of St. Thomas, PA, one sister, Gloria McGlaun, of Cusetta, GA, five grandchildren, Bill "Boomer" Caudill and wife Janyn, Patrick Caudill and wife Kristen, Cody Wenner, Matthew Ritter and Brookelynn Ritter, and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by many friends, including, Gaylee and Jeanne. Pat's infectious spirit is unforgettable, and will be survived by many more.

Using her notorious green thumb, she created an immaculate garden in her backyard. Gardening was a love she shared with all of her grandchildren. She loved puzzles, her two dogs, Tori and Huck, and birdwatching. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence F. Speak, Jr., Donald H. Speak, Wayne E. Speak, Sr., and Thomas T. Speak.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m., on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, December 28, 2015, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Helen Smith, will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church, 8 West Second Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
