Thelma Mae Cammarota

January 7, 1921 — August 14, 2015

Thelma Mae Cammarota, 94 of Frederick, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the wife of the late Angelo Cammarota. Born on January 7, 1921 in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles N. and Mary A. (Salter) Pennington. She was active in church activities and taught the pioneer girls, Sunday school and participated in missions programs. Mrs. Cammarota is survived by her two sons, David P. Cammarota and wife Nancy, and Paul N. Cammarota and wife Cheryl; two daughters, Linda J. Richey and husband Lance, and Susan A. Walsh; one brother, Roy Pennington; ten grandchildren, Douglas and wife Teresa, Christopher and wife Debbie, Kevin, Angela, Vincent, Nicole and husband Dan, Michael and wife Katie, Gioia, Katheryn and husband Conan, and Thomas; great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cammarota was preceded in death by her brother, Charles, sisters, Dorothy, Elaine and Miriam and daughter Patricia Maria Ruark. The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, August 22 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 1pm on Monday, August 24 in Locustwood Memorial Park, 1500 Marlton Pike W, Cherry Hill, NJ. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.keeneybasford.com
