Mrs. Betty Louise (Flair) Patterson, 90, of Maynardville, TN, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015. She was the wife of the late James A. Patterson, who preceded her in death in 2000. Born March 2, 1925, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Marie E. (Bruchey) Flair. Betty worked at Frederick Trading Company as a purchaser. Also, she was employed at the Cigar Factory, G&L Bakery, Blue Lounge and Travel Lodge (Tennessee). She is survived by her son, David Gallup and wife Gwendolyn, daughter, Mary Bowling and husband Steve, stepchildren, Charles Patterson, Mark Patterson and Ruth Martin, grandchildren, James William Gallup, Randy Bowling and Brian Bowling, great-grandchildren, James Apollo Gallup, Jenny Gallup, Sheli Bowling, Colton Bowling, Shasta Bowling and Tyler Bowling, sister-in-law, Mary Flair and great-great grandson, Jack. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Koogle and Madeline Stone and brothers, Charles Flair and Raymond Flair, and former husband Orvan Gallup. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Robert Driver-Bishop will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
