Mildred Marie Welty

Mrs. Mildred Marie Hurt Welty, 80, of Frederick, peacefully went to be with the Lord at her home on November 2, 2014. Twice married she was the wife of the late Benjamin F. Hurt and the late Clarence Welty. Born in Frederick, on September 25, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Mildred Linton Baugher. She had spent many years as a teacher's assistant at Rock Creek School and also helped others any way she could. She was a member of several local Frederick clubs. Above all she loved spending time with her family and friends and no one was a stranger in her home. She will be sadly missed by many friends especially her dear friend.. Surviving are her children, Barbara Ann Liller and husband Rick and Charles W. Hurt, all of Frederick and Louis F. Hurt, of Martinsburg, W. Va., a daughter-in-law Rhonda Hurt of Marion Station, three sisters, Evelyn Walters and husband A.J., of Point of Rocks, Annie Morris, of Ranson, W. Va., and Shirley Wachter and husband Butch, of Frederick, eight grandchildren, Lee, Shelly, Shane, Billy, Robert Jr., Jessica, Stephanie and Ricky, and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons, Benjamin Lee, David Edward Hurt, and Robert James Hurt Sr., three brothers, Ralph, Gustin and Elwood Baugher. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, November 7, 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church St., Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Arthur C. "Pete" Baugher, will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery, Jefferson. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O.
