Lula Comegys

Mrs. Lula Irene Comegys, 78, of Frederick, passed away on September 20 at her daughter's home. Born on February 27, 1936 in Boyds, she was the daughter of the late Clifford W. and Dora H. Cooley Wright. Mrs. Comegys was employed for many years at Sagner Clothing Factory and Maryland Odd Fellows Home and was a loving caregiver to a special lady. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, putting puzzles together and decorating for the various holidays. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Michele C. Hahn and her husband Robert, Son Kevin E. Comegys and wife Karen, grandchildren Ryan Hahn, Kristopher Comegys, Kearston St. Dennis and husband Beau and great grandson Levi. She is also survived by sister Rebecca Wright and longtime companion George Mehaffie. Lula was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter Heather M. Hahn, sisters Betty Williams, Catherine Smith and Elva Tobery as well as former husband Eugene T. Comegys and her beloved dog Buffy. The family will receive friends on Saturday October 4, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Monocacy Mausoleum of Mount Olivet Cemetery, located in the rear of the Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum.
