Mr. Maynard Cutsail Adams, 94, of Rockville, died peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at his home. He was the beloved husband of 68 years of Evelyn Smith Adams. Maynard was born in Buckeystown on March 24, 1920, one of eight children of the late David Alexander and Emily Susan Cutsail Adams. He was the last of the children, born on the farm in Buckeystown. He worked on the family dairy farm until 1941 when he enlisted the United States Marine Corps, served during WW II and was discharged in 1946. After his discharge and marriage he worked in the photographic field until 1997. He started with the Eastman Kodak Company. Later he was the sales manager at Creative Arts Studio in Washington, D.C. , in 1968 he purchased the still photography division and formed Still Photo Productions, Inc. In 1979 he formed B/W Color Prints, Inc. His son Les, joined the company in 1983. His passions were family, work and having a good time. His hobbies were carpentry and masonary. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, Rockville. Surviving in addition to his wife are his three children, Larry Adams and Cynthia Paine, of Baltimore, Leslie Adams and wife Patricia, of Annapolis, and Linda Adams, of Rockville, two grandsons, David and Michael Adams and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., on Monday, August 25, 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the funeral home. Rev. Joel Gilbert, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
