Mr. James R. McMurry, Sr. of Middletown, died Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of P. Darlene (Phelps) McMurry. Born October 21, 1940, in Brunswick, he was the son of the late James F. and Rosalee E. (Mills) McMurry. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his son, James McMurry, Jr., daughter, Selene Stevens, grandchildren, Matthew Stevens and Amanda Stevens. Arrangements are being made by Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, Md 21701. All funeral service are private.
