Betty Arminta Baumgardner

Mrs. Betty Arminta Baumgardner, 91, long time resident of Trail Avenue, Frederick, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014. She was the loving wife of Bernard R. Baumgardner, of Frederick. Born in Westminster, on January 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Norman Oscar and Arminta Myrtle Murray Reeder. Mrs. Baumgardner was a graduate of the Frederick Girls School on East Church Street and for most of her life she was a homemaker. She was an active member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are her children; Patricia E. Crum and Wayne, of Frederick, Bernard R. Baumgardner III, of Spokane, WA, Linda L. Gilbert, of Frederick, Rosemary A. Baumgardner, of Baltimore, Brian T. Baumgardner and William J. Baumgardner and Jane, all of Frederick, grandchildren; Gwendolyn Eckenrode and Ken, Kenneth Crum and Wanda, Randy Crum and Leissa, Helen Baumgardner, Bernard R. Baumgardner IV, Ryan Gilbert and Lorie, Alyssia Gilbert and Melody Baumgardner, many great grandchildren , one great great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Reeder and Paul Reeder. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at St. John the Evanglist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick. The Rev. Stephen Gosnell, will celebrate the mass. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.keeneybasford.com.
