Mrs. Helen Marie Strickland, 95, of Frederick, died on March 22 at Citizen's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on October 28, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland Riddle and Bessie Taylor Riddle. She was the wife of the late John James Strickland, who passed away in 1956. Mrs. Strickland was the last of her immediate family. Helen is survived by her children Helen English of Oklahoma, Charlotte Canino and husband Benny of Frederick and Bessie Daniels of North Carolina as well as 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 25 from 6-9 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 11:00 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
