Patty Focht, 81, of Frederick, MD passed away on December 31, 2013, in her home. Born at Baltimore, Maryland's Mercy Hospital on March 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Focht. She was also the sibling of the late John Focht and the late sister, Nancy Focht. Patty was a sweet mannered woman who had a fondness for holidays (especially Christmas), old movies, visiting local restaurants and listening to music. She had many friends over the years through her 13 years spent with Scott Key Center, and over 14 years spent exploring her interests at Retired Our Way - Day Program for Retired Seniors. Along with these programs, Patty was well provided for by her friends at Service Coordination, Inc. Patty loved all of her friends and her loyal and caring staff from MedSource Community Services, Inc. , where she lived in her home for the past 27 years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 10 to 11am, on Friday, January 10. 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. A service celebrating Patty's life will immediately follow at 11:00am. Pastor David Beason will officiate. Inurnment will be private. Online condolences may be shared at www.keeneybasford.com
