Wanda Boone

Mrs. Wanda M. Boone, age 66 of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Ralph Wayne Boone, Sr. Born on February 4, 1947 in Frederick she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Kemp. Mrs. Boone was a graduate of Frederick High School. During her life, she dedicated much of her time to raising her five children and baby-sitting for many others. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, needle point, and fishing with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Mrs. Boone was the devoted mother of Stacey Wachter and husband Bernie, Ralph Boone, Jr. and wife Christal, Kevin Boone, Sr. and wife Deborah, James Boone and wife Karen, and Melissa Leonard and husband Jamie, the grandmother of Andrew, Corey, Zachary, Marlana, Savannah, BJ, Jonathan, Joshua, and Hannah. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 2 to 5 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Boone's name to the The Cancer Assistance Fund, 501 W. 7th St., Frederick, MD 21701.
