Mr. Isaac Jackson "Jack" Fish, Jr., 84, of Frederick, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at the Kline Hospice House, in Mt. Airy. He was the loving husband of 52 years to the late Shirley Lee Keeney Fish, who died on July 25, 2010. Born in Gates, Lauderdale County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Isaac Jackson, Sr., and Frankie Edwards Fish. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, serving as a medical corpsman stationed at Fort Detrick. He then worked for over 30 years as a civilian federal government employee at both Fort Detrick and Edgewood Arsenal. Finally, he spent several years as a produce delivery driver for James Avery Clark and Sons, Inc., of Frederick., before enjoying his retirement years. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, and enjoyed spending time with his many friends, at the McDonald's Coffee group on Seventh Street, and also spending time with his family and friends at the River bend Community, in West Virginia, and being active in many local social groups. Surviving are his children, Dan Fout and wife Linda, of Arizona, Bob Fout and wife Gay, of Frederick, Robin Frank, of Frederick, Jackie Gabrielian and husband, Craig, of Sykesville, Terri Schmidt and husband John, of Frederick, and Tammy DeGrange and husband Chris, of Frederick, grandchildren, Eric Fout, Matthew Birkmire, Ryan Fish, Rachel Birkmire, Aaron Gabrielian, Jenna Gabrielian, Terra Schmidt, Nicholas Fout, Danielle DeGrange and Warren DeGrange, great grandchildren, Scarlett Birkmire, Michael Fish and Ava Fout, one sister, Louise Fish Rogers, of TN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Fish and Buck Fish. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, December 20, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 21, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Kenneth Humbert and Rev. Alice Ford, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. His grandsons will serve as his pallbearers.
