Doris Stavely Reeder

Mrs. Doris Thelma Stavely Reeder, age 95 of Frederick, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Carmey Emmonds Reeder who passed away in 1987. Born on November 28, 1917 in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late James Hodges and Mary Josephine (Rada) Stavely, and the step daughter of the late Vera Crocker Stavely. Mrs. Stavely is survived by her brother, Russell A. Crocker and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and numerous relatives and friends. Friends will be received on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Monday, September 30. 2013 at 1 PM. Rev. Dr. Barbara Kershner Daniel will officiate. The interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Reeder's name to the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ, 15 W. Church, St., Frederick, MD 21701.
