Mrs. Bonnie Joyce Clingan King, 72, of Frederick, died on July 26 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ray David King. Born on September 20, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Reno T. Clingan, Sr. and Esther R. Mackley Clingan. Bonnie was a 1958 graduate of Frederick High School. She was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and was formerly involved in 4H and the Linganore Athletic Boosters. Mrs. King enjoyed camping and found much enjoyment in being with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. In her working life, she was previously employed at the Diane Shop and Woolworth Company, and spent many years as a stay-at-home mom for her children. After the children were older, she worked for Frederick Limousine, and recently was an aide on Frederick County Public School buses, and because of her love of children, it was a job that she found to be highly rewarding. Mrs. King was a loving, caring person and her kindness lives on in her generosity of being an organ donor through the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland. Mrs. King is survived by her son, Darrin King and wife FayeAnn, grandchildren Grayson and Kennedy King as well as brothers Reno T. Clingan, Jr. and wife Diane, Charles W. "Chuck" Clingan and wife Debbie, and sister Cherry Fagan. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Catherine Hausler and Mary Cline, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by daughter, Toni Rae King and brothers-in-law Harold Hausler, Earl Cline, and Louis Fagan as well as a very special aunt, Margaret Esworthy. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
