Mrs. Anna Millicent "Ann" Strine Linton, 76, of Frederick, died peacefully on Monday, February 25, 2013, at the Northampton Manor Nursing Home. She was the devoted wife of Harry E. "Gene" Linton, for over 65 years. Together they owned and operated Linton Cabinet Shop for over 35 years until his retirement. Born in Frederick on June 26, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Ivan Clement and Ruth Millicent Nusz Strine. She was the youngest of five children. Upon the sudden death of her father, Ann being 6 weeks old, was taken in, cared for and raised by Ralph and Katherine Nuse of East Third Street in Frederick. They loved her and cared for as their own. Ann loved to collect antiques and was an avid Yankee fan. Many days were spent watching old movies and baseball games. She was especially fond of all her dogs she had over the years, especially her Basset Hound, Daisey Mae. She will be fondly missed by her husband, children and all grandchildren. May she rest in peace. She is survived by four children: Elizabeth "Libby" Craver and husband, Twain of Thurmont, Mary Cutshall and husband, John of Woodsboro, John Linton and significant other Sheri Springer of Frederick and Barbara Fellers and husband Steve of Knoxville. Grandchildren Mary Stottlemyer and husband Larry, Chad Craver, Victoria Linton, Lindsey Linton, Christopher Cutshall and Sarah Linton. One great-grandchild, Lillian Stottlemyer, age 6. She is survived by a brother, Robert Strine and wife Peggy, sister Jean Noonan, all of Frederick, Sister in law, Rita Strine of Florida and Aunt Catherine "Kate" Nusz of Frederick. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Ruth Katherine Linton, brother David C. Strine, sister Martha Strine and Uncle Dick Nusz. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
