Emma Mae Cromwell

Mrs. Emma Mae Cromwell, 89, of Frederick, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at her home. She was the wife of the late LeRoy Cromwell. Born June 24, 1923, in Frederick, she was the daughter of Lillian Dotson. She is survived by two daughters Betty Hill (Donald), Lillian Ware (Melvin); two sons, Larry Cromwell (Louise), and Roy Cromwell; six grandchildren, Quentin Jackson (Shirley), Brian Jackson (Barbara), Vincent Jackson (Melissa); Lance Cromwell, Jonathan Cromwell, and Lindsay Cromwell; three great grandchildren, Amanda, Dominic, and Briseis Jackson. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cromwell was preceded in death by seven children, Robert, James, Ernest, Mary, Walter, William Cromwell, and Emma Jackson. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, January 25, at Keeney & Basford P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick MD 21701. Funeral services for Mrs. Cromwell will begin at noon from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Sherman Mason, Jr., Simpson Christian Community Church, New Market. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Cromwell's name may be made to the funeral home at the above address.
