Mr. Pat Dougherty, 77, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Jo Rowan Dougherty. They were married in Cumberland on December 27, 1958. Born in Cumberland on December 2, 1935, Pat was a son of the late Emmett A. and Iva Donoughe Dougherty. Pat was a graduate of LaSalle High School in Cumberland and the Uniiversity of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He was employed at several pharmacies in Frederick County and retired from Rite Aid. He was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed yard work and gardening. Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Cheryl L. Dougherty, of Frederick, Jeffrey P. Dougherty and wife, Joni Kinsley, of Palm City, FL, Donald J. "Don" Dougherty, of Mt. Airy, Mary Pat Dougherty and husband Edwin Mackley, of Frederick, and Julie S. Brown and husband Steve, of Fernandina Beach, FL, four grandchildren, Chelsea Dougherty, Shannon Dougherty, Keegan Kinsley and Hagen Mackley. Also surviving are three brothers, A. Thomas Dougherty and wife Dolores, Frank Dougherty and wife Peggy, all of Cumberland and Michael Dougherty, of Pittsburgh, PA, and one sister, Kathleen Houck and husband Tony, of Springfield, VA. Many nieces and nephews, also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James and two sisters, Ruth Martin and Audrey Kelly. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, January 18, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Memorial Mass will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick. Msgr. Richard Murphy, will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Johns Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O.
