Mary Jane Patricia Miller

November 20, 1934 — October 30, 2012

Mary Jane Patricia Miller, age 77, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2012. Originally from Cedarhurst, Long Island, NY, she fondly remembered growing up there, where she attended St. Joachim Catholic School. She moved to Washington D.C. where she lived with her aunt, Retta Morrissey and attended Immaculate Conception High School. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 28 years, where she started as a mail clerk, and worked her way up to bulk mail inspector. Mary Jane was a proud member of the American Postal Workers Union. She is survived by beloved daughter, Kathleen Nichols, of Knoxville, MD, and a dear cousin, Rita Schreiber, of New York, NY, along with a number of treasured friends and family. Friends may be received at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD on Saturday, November 3 2012 from 10-11 AM where a funeral service will held at 11 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel. She will return to St. Joachim's for a funeral mass and will be interred in the Morrissey family plot at St. Mary Star-of-the-Sea Cemetery in Lawrence, NY.
