Bernard H. "Bernie" Smith, II, 73, passed away March 19, in Port Orange, FL. He was the beloved husband of Arlene (Mullinix) Smith for 37 beautiful years, loving father of Tina (Michael) Gossart, Beverly Anne Morton, and Bernie (Robin) Smith, III. With former wife, and family friend Mary E. Smith, he was the loving father of Rick (Laura) Smith, Terri (Steven) Custard, Beverly Renee Durkin, Toni (Gary) Phelps and Michael (Patti) Smith and a very special "Pappy" to 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He leaves two siblings, Joseph (Jane) Smith and Mary (Paul) Sambororski. Bernie was a family man, avid motorcyclist and served in the US Air Force. He will be greatly missed by all who know him. A memorial will be held at the Old Country Catholic Church of Urbana, Church St., Urbana, on Saturday June 2, at 11:00 AM. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
