Sarah Kerrick Zombro

Mrs. Sarah Kerrick Zombro, 88, of Frederick died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Northampton Manor. She was the wife of the late Craig H. Zombro, who predeceased her in 1982. Born May 4, 1923 in Martinsburg, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Guy W. and Nora L. Faulkner Kerrick. Mrs. Zombro was a homemaker. She devoted her entire life, effort, and love to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Zombro of Frederick, and Sue McKenzie of Harpers Ferry, W. Va.; three grandsons, Michael, Eric and Ryan Zombro; and three great-granddaughters, Hannah, Kristin and Nevaeh Zombro. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Craig H. Zombro, Jr.; one brother; and five sisters. She was the last of her immediate family. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 29 from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. James S. Flora. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 Byte Dr # 103 Frederick, MD 21702.
