Mrs. Helen Margaret Kemp Waltz, formerly of Frederick died suddenly on March 17 at William Hill Manor in Easton. Born on July 3, 1916 near Jefferson, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Adeline Kemp. She grew up on a farm and later attended St. John's Catholic High School. In 1935 she married Wilson W. Waltz and later worked in his business U. A. Lough & Son Monuments. Her husband died in 1986. She taught Sunday School at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and later worked with children at Small World Nursery School. She moved to Buckingham's Choice in Adamstown in 2000. In 2008 she moved to William Hill Manor to be near her daughter and son-in-law. She is survived by her daughter, Janice W. Taylor, and her husband, Dr. F. Colson Taylor, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Waltz was preceded in death by two brothers, J. William Kemp and J. Lee Kemp. At her request a private graveside service was held on March 23 at Manor Cemetery on Ballenger Creek Pike. The Rev. Stephen Kroh of Emmanuel Alliance Church in Frederick officiated.
